1. Purpose
This policy exists so the platform stays available and lawful for everyone using it. It is incorporated into the Terms of Service and applies to you and to anyone using your API keys.
We interpret it in good faith and in favour of legitimate use. When something is genuinely ambiguous, ask us first — support@vantafold.ai — rather than guessing.
2. Prohibited uses
You may not use the service to:
- Break the law, or help anyone else break it.
- Generate or distribute child sexual abuse material. This results in immediate termination and a report to the relevant authorities.
- Produce content intended to harass, threaten, defame, or incite violence against a person or group.
- Build weapons, including chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, or high-yield explosive systems, or to develop malware or ransomware.
- Impersonate a real person or organisation, or generate synthetic media of a real person without consent.
- Run deceptive political campaigning, including coordinated inauthentic behaviour or content designed to suppress voting.
- Make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on individuals — credit, employment, housing, insurance, or benefits — without meaningful human review.
- Provide medical, legal, or financial advice presented as coming from a qualified professional, without appropriate oversight and disclosure.
- Circumvent safety systems, including jailbreaking models to produce prohibited content, or reselling access in a way that strips safety controls.
3. Platform integrity
You also may not:
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service except as permitted by our disclosure policy.
- Circumvent rate limits, spend caps, or quotas, including by creating multiple accounts.
- Share, resell, or sublicense API keys outside your organisation.
- Use the service to build a directly competing inference-routing product using data obtained from it.
- Send traffic that degrades service for other customers, including deliberate load generation outside an agreed test.
4. Your responsibilities
If you build a product on Vantafold, you are responsible for:
- Telling your users when they are interacting with an AI system.
- Reviewing output before relying on it for anything consequential.
- Having a lawful basis for the data you send us, and the rights to send it.
- Providing a way for your users to report problems with generated content.
- Applying age-appropriate restrictions where your product reaches minors.
5. Enforcement
Where we can, we start with a conversation. Most violations we see are configuration mistakes rather than intent, and a warning with a remediation window resolves them.
Where the violation is severe, ongoing, or poses immediate risk to third parties or the platform, we may suspend or terminate access without prior notice. We will tell you what triggered the action and, where the violation is curable, what would restore access.
6. Reporting abuse
Report suspected abuse to abuse@vantafold.ai with as much detail as you can share. We acknowledge reports within one business day.
If you believe your access was suspended in error, write to support@vantafold.ai and a human will review the decision.
7. Changes
We update this policy as new patterns of misuse appear. Material changes are announced at least 30 days in advance to account holders, except where a change is needed immediately to address an active harm.
